As you have all been following on ( microracing.com ) and all of you that I have seen at the tracks, about his resent hospital visits, with all you kind works and prayers, I wanted to be the person to break the sad news.
Dad turned 71 yesterday July 4th, he had a great day at home, everything was fine, even this morning things were great, he had a great nights sleep, went to get a shower and then that when he went down, mom called 911 and the EMT’s did all they could do, but it was to late.
Please remember my dad as a great guy, photographer, friend. I know no one can replace him. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Any questions please contact me at email@example.com
Mom and I thank you all.

I'm a second generation photographer, my father, Dick Greenawalt was the official photographer for URC.I started shooting at age 9 ( 1975 ) at Convention Hall in Atlantic City NJ, then at Reading for USAC races. At one time I was the youngest photographer in the east, after meeting Cris Economaki at Atlantic City I began to shoot for National Speed Sport News. I have traveled all over PA, NY, NJ, following sprint cars. I have been one of the track photographers for Williams Grove Speedway in the 1980's, and at that time I also worked for Gater News as there representative at Williams Grove and other tracks : Ascot Speedway-CA, Knoxville-Knoxville Nationals, Oswego Speedway-Classic and regular shows, Dover Downs-Nascar, Syracuse-Usac an Dirt Week, just to name a few. After a 17 year absence due my full time job I am happy to be back on the race trail again! I'm back at Williams Grove, Oswego, Lincoln and many other tracks that I've visited in the past.
