Jay, you couldn't have said it any better! That's what I was thinking when I heard that John Nicotra was having a new car built for Otto, and then the same happen when I heard about Ray's new car. Unfortunately I have no ideas on how to control it. You surely can't tell somebody how to spend their money and what to spend it on. The only thing that I can say is that the rules need to be tighten up to control those issues. Sadly without doing something it will become a battle between 'Samson and Goliath'.

Couldn't agree more. We don't want to go back to 15 car fields because the rest couldn't afford to be competitive and only have 2 driver dominate.

I didn't know the SBS classic race was broken! Why does it need to be fixed?
Did it have anything to do with Steve Abt leading all 100 laps last year?
They didn't feel compelled to fix the Super classic race after Shampine lead all 200 in 1980!
My question I guess is the reason why?

Blogger: I'm sure it is because last year's Classic was boring. I think that's plenty of reason to mix things up. Nobody wants to see the fastest car lead all of the laps.

JJ, a guaranteeed point fund sounds great. Can you provide the details that ensures the point fund is guaranteed.

Last year's point fund was promised until it was time to pay. What's different with this year's point fund? Is this year also a promise or is something written down contractually?

Blogger: Dude - time to move on. No I can't provide any documents. No contract that I know of - just the Torrese's word. Which is good enough for me. Last year's deal sucked. I'm now concentrating on this year's deal.
I am a firm believer in "innocent until proven guilty".
