Bill Moore’s #7 small block supermodified will be back in ‘08, and probably for a full season. But the steering wheel will be shared by two people, not just one. Steve Abt raced a car for about two minutes a couple of seasons ago, in a car that he bought from Billy Izyk. Despite his limited seat time, Abt showed a lot of promise behind the wheel. (I remember one Classic when Steve and I had quite a battle, and only a tricky move on a restart kept me from finishing behind him.)
Next year, the two wheelmen will share Moore’s car. There are a few races that Bill wants to run during the season, along with some weeks off that he’s looking forward to. “I probably won’t even go to the track on the nights that I’m not racing", said Bill. Should be a lot of fun for the two hotshoes, racing when they want, not getting stressed out by points.
