NORA is a club that organizes races for the Small Block Supermodifieds at speedways other than, and in addition to, Oswego Speedway. NORA prez Steve Reynolds and others have put together a get-together for the teams, to discuss future rules and leadership, raise funds, and give out well deserved pats on the back for the top racers. For example, Louie LeVea will pick up the NORA championship trophy. Yes, the same Lou LeVea who quit racing at Oswego Speedway because of a dispute with track management, won the NORA championship at where? That would be Oswego Speedway.

The NORA organization took a big kick in the pants several years ago when Evans Mills covered over that smooth pavement with that yucky dirt. Although Andy Noto, who was NORA president for five minutes a couple of years ago floated the idea of trying the small block supers on dirt, that idea seemed to croak when Andy disappeared. Note to NORA organizers: a NORA dirt race at Brewerton or Evans Mills pulls me out of retirement IMMEDIATELY. Next crazy / interesting idea for small block supers? A fixed wing has been tossed about.
