So day 1 of the nationals is in the books…A few things.

-I am tired of the roads being closed because of flooding. The people here get you off the highway easy enough but the customer service stops there. It’s up to you to figure out how where and which way you need to turn to get back to the main road. Oh and the detours ALWAYS involve dirt roads.

- I love the fact that in the northeast everyone tries to be country bumpkins…(I really can’t stand country or western music) and here in no-man’s land where you would THINK that country music would be the norm at the race tracks I have heard BuckCherry, Metallica, VH and other assorted rock bands…Gotta love it.

- Knoxville is one FAST track.

- Our “inn” sucks, I would rather tent it and I dislike camping quite a bit.

- A lot of other race tracks and groups should come out here and watch how the Nationals are run, they would learn a lot.

Kind of a weird blog so far right? Might as well keep going…..

- I spent too much money yesterday. It’s easy to do here.

- I came 15 hours from home to end up drinking with guys that live 15 mins from me. I could really get into some trouble at the Dingus Lounge…..

- How messed up is it that the coldest I have ever been at a race track is in Florida and the hottest I have ever been in my life is in Iowa?

- I’m missing the bikini contest to write this…

- Chad Kemenah was the man to beat in the A main last night, sometimes the best car doesn’t win.

- Dose anyone read this stuff?

- When the co pilot asks how are we doing on gas perhaps the driver should look and pay attention to the gauge.

Check out the E-Gater for some exclusive photos from Knoxville!
